PRIMARY SCHOOLS PORTO

Two (pre)primary schools that will be involved are: OSMOPE, a school with a lot of expertise on artistic projects with teachers and children and one school of the Agrupamento that focusses on inclusion.

OSMOPE in Porto

OSMOPE is a social solidarity private institution, serving children from childcare (3 months of age) to elementary school age. It is located in the center of the city of Porto, in an ancient building that used to be a factory (before 1982). Educational bridges and learning trough the senses are two aspects that define OSMOPE teaching philosophy; the cultural and artistic processes are mentioned, in their pedagogical documents, as pivotal tools for educational processes.

Agrupamento de Escolas de Campo

Agrupamento de Escolas de Campo is public school cluster located in a small village in a municipality that is part of Porto district. It includes preschools, elementary schools, and a basic level of education school (i.e., it servers children till the 9th grade of education). Population served includes families with a low level of education. The teaching philosophy of the school cluster underlines the development of each student as a whole, stating the importance of the articulation of all the areas of knowledge that can potentially contribute to the learning and development processes.
